Amanda Pyper, MA (she/her/hers)
Licensed Associate Counselor

Amanda was born in Phoenix, AZ and has lived in FLG on three separate occasions; once as a child, once as a young adult to earn degrees from CCC and NAU (#GoLumberjacks), and once currently, which began in January 2021. Her time at NAU resulted in earning a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Wellness. Following, she worked in the fields of Massage Therapy and Aesthetics for roughly 20 years prior to going back to school to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Ottawa University.

In April 2023, Amanda joined Beyond the Pines on a part-time basis as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor after becoming a Licensed Associate Counselor in the State of Arizona. In this role, she sees the client-therapist relationship as being an essential part of the therapy process. In addition to doing her best to produce a safe and comfortable environment for her clients, she incorporates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic experiencing, and mindfulness-based therapies into her approach. She currently works with individuals over the age of 16 and is open to working with a variety of presenting issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, and family of origin work.

When Amanda isn’t working with her clients in the therapy setting, she can be found spending time with her family, working on home renovations, working out, and simple being outdoors... As long as there is a shower at the end of the day. She also finds peace near water and loves to cook as well.
