Rachel Miller, PsyD (she/her)

Postdoctoral Psychology Resident

Rachel is an Arizona native and recent graduate of Northern Arizona University, where she earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology and completed her internship with Counseling Services. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University and previously worked with a nonprofit supporting youth in developing social-emotional skills through play. She joined Beyond the Pines in October 2025 to complete her postdoctoral residency and is preparing to take the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology this year.

Rachel is passionate about the mind–body connection and the power of movement in fostering well-being. Her therapeutic style is warm, curious, collaborative, and infused with humor. She is insight-oriented and interpersonally focused, drawing from person-centered, CBT, psychodynamic, and systems approaches to support each client’s unique needs. Rachel believes deeply in human resilience and strives to work collaboratively with clients to strengthen their connection to themselves, others, and the world around them.

 

Rachel identifies as a generalist counselor and enjoys working with individuals, adults and couples. She is passionate about working with the college-aged population and engaged in clinical training at ASU and NAU. She loves working with individuals who are in a life transition and discovering who they are throughout this phase." 

 

Outside the therapy room, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, pilates, and spending time with loved ones.
